Everything You Need to Know about Professional Eyelash Extension Tweezers

eyelashes tweezers

There are a large number of presses on the market today. How do you choose the right Eyelashes Tweezers? Before making a decision, you should familiarise yourself with the different options, sizes and shapes.

Tweezers

Tweezers can be divided into two main categories: insulating tweezers and volumetric tweezers. We will focus on these two categories to help you understand the main difference between them. Which are the best tweezers to use in which situations?

1. Insulated Precision Tweezers

These tweezers are straight and narrow (sometimes with a slightly curved handle), with a very sharp, pointed tip. Insulating tweezers come in different lengths depending on their practicality and have two main uses:

Isolation: allows the user to perfectly isolate the eyelashes with a non-dominant hand before applying a classic or fan product to the natural eyelashes. They are usually 4.5-5.5 cm long.

Straight Tweezers: Used in classical applications to pluck individual lashes and place them on natural lashes. These are the first tweezers a new artist will use to start working. The pointed tip makes it easy for the user to remove the lashes from the strip and place individual extensions on each natural lash. They are used in conjunction with insulators and are usually of the same type, weight, etc.

Whether these tweezers are used to isolate or fix classic eyelashes, isolating tweezers is indispensable in all applications. They are very important, but they are also very easy to select and replace.

2. Volume Tweezers

Volume tweezers are designed to improve your eyelash drawing and shaping skills. They are especially used for eyelash volumisation (multiple extensions of natural eyelashes). They allow you to easily create a gene curl and process multiple gene extensions at the same time. Each tweezer has its own handle and weight to fit your hand, so learn the difference between the two before choosing.

Shoe Tweezers: Shoe-shaped (90° angled) tweezers are heavier. They provide a firmer grip, making it easier to hold the lashes while applying the clamp. It is an ideal tweezer for beginners who want to increase eyelash volume. The angle of the tweezers provides the best opportunity to place and apply the lashes to the lash line, gel pads or lash line. These tweezers are recommended for eyelash curlers with 2D-10D volume and 0.10-0.05 diameter.

L-Shaped Tweezers: L-shaped tweezers have an angle of 120-90°, very similar to the shape of the letter L. They are similar to shoe tweezers, but are usually much thinner and have a longer tip. L-shaped tweezers are used to cut five or more lashes at a time, as they give the artist more space to grip the lashes. These tweezers can also be used as an alternative to isolation tweezers. Their length can be up to 5.5 cm.

J-Tweezers: They are used in both volume and mega-volume applications, as many artists appreciate the good fit of these tweezers in the dominant hand. The curvature of the tip of the volume tweezers allows artists to lift and hold multiple eyelash extensions simultaneously. This is one of our favourite tweezers because it allows the lashes to be easily removed from the strip while still allowing the artist to place them in place. These tweezers are an excellent choice for picking up very fine 0.03 and 0.05 lashes. Each tweezer is unique and therefore has a slightly different "sweet spot".

Care Instruction:

Whatever type of tweezers you choose, it is important to take good care of them. Once you have found a pair you like, it will be difficult to find a suitable replacement pair if you drop them and are not prepared.

To clean and disinfect tweezers, only follow the directions of your chosen solution for the recommended time to prevent the metal from breaking or wearing out.

The tip of tweezers is very thin and fragile, so the following care instructions are recommended:

♥ Do not use tweezers to remove the lash strip from the lash holder.

♥ Do not use it to remove glue from other tweezers.

♥ Keep the tweezers on a non-slip surface while working.

♥ Store the tweezers in a case or pouch when not in use.
